The Upward Bound Program at
Michigan State University has openings for students in the
9th grade and 10th grade
We are looking for students who you would recommend and identify
as students that have potential for a college education and
would benefit from strong supportive services.
We offer:
• An academic year program that meets on campus once
a week on Mondays from 3:30 to 6:00 pm
• Tutorial Services, study skills
• Grade Counseling & Curriculum Counseling
• Local & Out of state Field Trips
• A 6-week Summer Program with 2 weeks in a residence
hall
• A $10.00 weekly Stipend ($15.00 during the summer)
• A Study Trip to a Major City for one week. Next summer
is to New York City
• Wharton Center Performances
• ACT Fee Waivers & Fee Waviers for College Appications
• Assistance with Financial Aid & Scholarship Application
• Study Abroad: Europe, Germany
• Space Camp, Close-Up, The Presidental Classroom, Harvard
Model Congress
Please inform students about
the meeting in the Social Room on Friday, May 14th, at 1:00
pm. Please give names of students to Dr. Owens so that they
get a pass for the meeting.
