Is Eastern currently authorized to offer the IB
curriculum?
A: Yes! Eastern is proud to say, after
a rigorous application process, we have been approved to offer
the IB Diploma program beginning the Fall of 2006.

What did Eastern's application process involve?
A:
During the spring of 2004, Eastern began a written application
to become an IB school. Following IB policy, after approximately
one year of preparation, we were visited last fall by a review
team from IB North America. Their recommendations were made to
the IBO Director General in Geneva, Switzerland, who notified
us on May 12, of our authorization to begin the program.

How is the IB program funded?
A: Eastern is fortunate to be a
part of the Lansing School District's Magnet Program which receives
funding through the Federal Government.

How do students apply?
A: Students interested in the IB
program can apply by indicating an interest to their counselors
and completing an application available at Eastern or the Lansing
School District Magnet Office.
