Program Description:
This course provides a foundation for those students seeking careers
in the dynamic agriculture and natural
resource industries. There are many professional opportunities in government
and private business. We will explore plant science; marketing; and
retail operations in a floral shop setting; identify indoor and outdoor
plants; use power equipment; operate and manage a greenhouse; design
landscape plans; work on-site; install landscape plant material; and
experience growth of plants and student learning in an educational
setting.

Description: The Business Services Technology Program is a two-year
program designed to offer students training in the following technical
areas: Computer Information systems, Internet in Business, Programming
in Visual Basic 6.0, Local Area networks, Keyboarding, Microsoft
office 97, and Networking Computers using Windows NT and NetWare
5.0. All training is designed to ehlp students gain necessary skills
in the area of Computer Operator,Administrative Assistant and Network
Administrator. Learning is gained through hands-on applications.
Each course uses the latest technology. Students gain valuable experience
on industry standard computer software.

Program Description: This course is intended to train students
for beginning level jobs in commercial broadcasting,industrial, cable
and
educational media, advertising, multimedia and related fields.
An applied practical introduction to the fundamentals of basic audio
and video
production is used. Covers theory, terminology and techniques,
with an emphasis on the function and operation of equipment to achieve
basic
production skills.

Program Description: Acquire skills to create, design, and
produce printed media. These skills involve layout and design, desktop
publishing/computer
graphics, costing and job write-up, camera operations, film assembly,
plate making, letterpress, offset, screen process printing and finishing
operations. This is accomplished through the completion of basic assignments,
producing personal and/or school district printed products.
